The controversy of making Ram Mandir wasn't an issue of 2018 but running till decades . Making Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is demanded by people but its order is suspended by Supreme Court and maybe this controversy remain in 2019 also.
Name Changing Spree
Since the rise of power of Yogi Adityanath in UP other changes we observe or not one thing is noticeable that he changed many names of city and areas such as Faizabad to Ayodhya, Allahabad to Pryagraj ,Mughalsarai Junction to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya Junction . Even many proposal were made to change name across the country such as Shimla to Shyamala and Heydrabad to Bhagyanagar.

National Registration Certificate NRC which is only for the state of Assam is yet another controversial issue which sparked many strike and movements in the state. NRC is held due to illegal immigrants from Bangladesh to Assam. Around 40 lakh people are missing from NRC out of total 3.2 crore people of Assam.
