All you should know about Mirage 2000

Intro:

Dassault Mirage 2000 is a single engine multi role fourth generation fire fighter manufactured by Dassault Aviation, France. It was first introduced in 1978 and made its first flight in 1984 since then 601 units of Mirage of different variants are made. In India it was first used in 1985 by Indian Air Force and played a major role in Kargil war in 1999. After that in 2004 government placed order of more such aircraft and approved $2.2 billion for the upgrade of Mirage 2000.
Since now India ordered 50 Mirage 2000. India currently has a three squadrons of Mirage 2000 built by French Aviation company Dassault Aviation. The squadrons are based on Gwalior.

IAF currently made a strike on the camps of terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed in a non military ,pre-emptive action in Balakot region In Pakistan. Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group based in Pakistan took the responsibility of suicide bomb attack in Pulwama of Kashmir where 40 CRPF JAWANS lost their lives.on 14th February.
A fleet of Mirage 2000 carried out the exercise and bombarded camps with 1000 kilos of bomb and levelled it.

About Mirage 2000

Mirage 2000 is a multi role fire fighter which is capable of dropping a range of bombs and missiles ,fitted with Thales radar multi target 2 radar it can attack target with 100 percent accuracy. The jet has a length of 14.36 m and wingspan of 91.3m.It has a top speed of 2336 km/h. It's dry weight is 7500 kg and take off weight is 17000 kg. Apart from India Dassault sold Mirage to 8 countries .
